Cloud Mashup
The original photo was of a river around mid afternoon. The clouds were from the same day but taken right around dusk. I chose to add the clouds because i liked that it made the river more dark/brooding.
The original photo was of the same river, different location. The clouds were from the onset of a storm a couple days later. I chose to mash these photos because I though it captured the tranquility of nature before a storm takes place
The original picture was of an outlet of a wetland. The clouds were from the shore of a beach. I chose to mash these photos because I thought it would look better as a more saturated/surreal photo.
Plant Mashups
The original picture was a close up of a pine like bush. The butterfly was from a state park. I chose to mash these photos because I thought the black and white stood out well against the green and accentuated it.
The original picture was a closeup of a pine tree branch. The second was of a perched praying mantis. I mashed these images because I thought that it made it look like the praying mantis was making use of its camoflage.
The original picture was of collected rain on a tulips leaf. The second picture was of a fish I caught a few days prior. I decided to mash these up because I thought it would look surreal and nonsensical.
Texture Mashups
The original picture was of the top of a hill near where I live. The second was of the skin of a garter snake. I mashed these photos together because I thought that snake skin would be an interesting texture on road.
The original picture was of an interesting mushroom I found. The second was of a tire from a car. I chose to mash these photos because I thought that a tire would provide an interesting texture for a mushroom cap.
The original picture is of a scottish mug that belongs to my family. The second picture is of a vice's screw. I chose to mash these photos because I thought the mug was boring and could use an interesting texture.
